COMING UP SUNDAY-JUNE 19

This is the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 7) and it is the official start of the Green Season in the Church. This year at St. Thomas', we will be following Track 1 of the lectionary Scripture readings. Read more about this in the tab marked The Green Season.

There are two special events coming up in the next week. On June 18, there is a community hike at 10 am that begins at St. Thomas'. The hike will go to the grave of the Rev. Daniel Davis and his family (see post on right).  
Starting on Thursday, June 23, there will be weekly story hour for preschoolers from 11:30-12:30.  There will be a Bible story, craft, songs and snack.  And coffee for parents!  Send us a message for more information.
On Sunday, July 3, our 9am worship service will be outside in honor of Independance Day. Bring a lawn chair and a friend!

This Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost! In the Book of Acts (2:1-21), it says that on the 50th day after Easter, the Holy Spirit descended on the followers of Jesus and appeared as tongues of fire. Our annual Ascension Day service is back!  On Thursday, May 26, we will have a short worship service at 6pm, followed by a hotdog, potluck dinner.  The church will supply the hotdogs and rolls, and you bring a side dish or dessert to share. We will gather outside, so bring your own chair. Theis is a great event for families-bring a friend!

This is the 3rd Sunday of the month, so it is the week that we are collecting the items for the WARM Center. They can be left on the table in the kitchen.

Our church collected over $200 in the Lenten mite boxes last month.  The money was sent to United Thank Offering and to Episcopal Relief and Development for their work in Ukraine. Thanks to everyone who donated!
