This is the 1st Sunday after Christmas.  Church school will not meet.  There will be a regular 9am service followed by coffee hour which will include lots of diverse Christmas cookies!
Our Christmas Eve service was lovely- thanks to all who brought poinsettias.  There are some photos on the Facebook page (see lower right column)/
This is the last Sunday to bring in socks for the residents at the WARM Center.
This has been an amazing, mission driven year at St. Thomas and 2018 will be just as exciting.  Stay tuned.  Better yet- join us every Sunday at 9am!

COMING UP SUNDAY- DEC. 24

This Sunday is two things!  In the morning, at the 9am service, it is the 4th Sunday of Advent.  After worship, we will decorate the church, sing Christmas carols and eat Christmas cookies.  And at 5pm, we will celebrate Christmas Eve.  It will be a joyful service with great music.  Come and bring a friend!
We are still collecting socks for residents of the WARM Center.  Bring them on Christmas Eve.
One of our parishioners will participate in the Penguin Plunge on Jan. 1 at Misquamicut Beach. This is a fundraiser for the WARM Center.  Donations can be made at this link.

COMING UP SUNDAY- DEC. 17

This is the 3rd Sunday of Advent, also known as Gaudete Sunday.  Gaudete, which means "rejoice" in Latin.  The Scripture readings encourage the theme of rejoicing, for the day of the Lord is near.  The pink color symbolizes the joy of the day.
The WARM meal will be prepared this week.  The church school class will decorate cupcakes to deliver with the WARM meal.
The congregation filled up 2 big bags of gifts for some children in our community.  Thanks to all who donated.  Some photos are posted on our Facebook page (you can see them on the lower right side of this page).

COMING UP SUNDAY- DEC. 10

This is the 2nd Sunday of Advent.  Church school will meet and there will be a vestry meeting after worship.  Our congregation is collecting socks for residents of the WARM Center and also collecting a few items for a local family.
The Christmas Eve service will be held at 5pm on Dec. 24.  There is no Christmas Day service.
For the month of December, we are challenging every member of the congregation to attend church at least 3 times this month.  We get ready for Christmas by hearing the words of Scripture, preparing our hearts for Christ and sharing in fellowship.  Join us at 9am every Sunday morning!
