Thanks to some of the families who prepared the meal for the WARM Center last Sunday. There are some great pictures here. 
Each Thursday night in Advent, we will meet online for "Compline and Cocoa." It begins at 7 pm and lasts about 30 minutes. Message the church if you want the Zoom link. A list of all Advent activities at St. Thomas' can be found here.
Once again, we are collecting new socks and underwear for residents of the WARM Center.  Bring them to the church before Dec. 30.
The annual parish meeting will be held on January 28 following the worship service. Details to follow.

The youth of the church will be making Christmas wreaths and centerpieces this Sunday. They are asking for a donation of $15 and all the money raised will be sent to the builiding project at ECC. If you want to order one, send a message to the church by Dec. 1

This is All Saints' Sunday!  The feast of All Saints' falls on November 1, and the Book of Common Prayer allows for it to be celebrated on the Sunday after. The liturgy includes a remembrance of all of our loved ones who have died.  The worship service is live streamed at 9 am and it can be viewed live on YouTube and later on Facebook. After the service this week, there will be a 10 am presentation during coffee hour on how to use Narcan.It will be led by Dan Fitzgerald, Executive Director of the Wellbeing Collaborative (formally known as the Chariho Youth Task Force). The opioid epidemic continues to be a serious concern in our area. Learn how to use this life-saving medication and leave with a dose to take home. 
On November 12, there will be a Veterans Day Celebration at St. Thomas'. All vets and active duty military members are welcome to join us.

Did you know that Halloween falls on the eve of All Saints' Day?  Click on the tab at the top of the page. We will celebrate All Saints' Sunday on November 5 at our 9 am service.  It is one of the traditional dates in our church calendar for Bapitsm. If you would like to be baptized that day, contact the church.

Are you cleaning out closets in preparation for the season change? If so, bring your unwanted items to the clothing shed located in the church parking lot. It is a great way to recycle clothes, shoes and linens and to support our church.  Also-there is a Caring Closet located in the parking lot of the church. If you need emergency food or household items, there are some free items available.  Take what you need and give what you can.  Learn more about it here.

Last Saturday, parishioners gathered for a fun picnic with great food and a few raindrops. The next day there was a baptism as we joyfully welcomed a new baby into the family. Check out our Facebook page for photos.

COMING UP SUNDAY-JUNE 11

This is the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 5). And it is the beginning of the Green Season (read about it in the tab above). This year, St. Thomas' will use the readings in Track 2 of the lectionary. The Sunday service is at 9 am and this week, the Rev. Jim Kelliher will be the guest preacher and worship leader. Jim is a deacon in our diocese and June is the month that the Episcopal Churches of Province I (New England)  celebrate deacons. Watch a video about the important work of deacons here.  This week there will be no live stream of the service.

On Saturday, May 6, one of our parishioners has invited the youth-and adults-to visit their farm and the new baby goats. Drop in anytime between 10am and noon. Donuts and drinks will be provided. Send us a message for directions.
The annual Ascension Day service and hotdog potluck dinner will be held on May 18. There is a short service at 6pm, followed by dinner. It is a great family event and you will be home by 7:30. Come join us and bring a friend!

This is the 3rd Sunday of the month and it is the day that we collect food for the WARM Center meal. Each week we also accept donations for RICAN. They are in need of personal care items for their clients.

This Sunday we are going to have a coffee hour discussion of, The Chosen. This is a seven season series about the life of Jesus. It is told from the perspective of those who met him. Our discussion will just be about season 1. You can watch it for free on Roku or go to watch.thechosen.tv
