COMING UP SUNDAY-JAN. 1

Happy New Year!  This Sunday is January 1 which is the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus.  When this holiday falls on a Sunday, we always celebrate it!  You can learn more about it here. The worship service is live streamed at 9 am and it can be viewed on Facebook or on YouTube. CHRISTMAS EVE

Join us in person at 5 pm on Christmas Eve for a joyful worship service. The service will also be live streamed and it can be viewed on Facebook or on YouTube. Find the links here.  It can also be watched at a later time in both places. 
There will be no service at St. Thomas' on Christmas Day. Visit Church of the Holy Spirit, Charlestown or Christ Church, Westerly if you would like to attend worship on that day. 
Throughout the month of December, we are collecting socks for residents of the WARM Center. Put them in the big stocking at the church.

Last Sunday the youth of the church made wreaths and centerpieces as a fundraiser for the camp at ECC. We sent them a check for $270. Thanks to all who participated! You can view some photos on our Facebook page here.

All Saints' Sunday will be celebrated on Nov. 6 at St.Thomas'. This is an important feast day in our church calendar as it celebrates the lives of all the saints-living and dead. We will read aloud the names of loved ones who have died as part of the liturgy that day. To learn more about the connection between Halloween and All Saints' Day, click on the tab at the top of the page. It is also a traditional day for baptism. Message us if you are interested.

COMING UP SUNDAY-MAY 22

Our annual Ascension Day service is back!  On Thursday, May 26, we will have a short worship service at 6pm, followed by a hotdog, potluck dinner.  The church will supply the hotdogs and rolls, and you bring a side dish or dessert to share. We will gather outside, so bring your own chair. Theis is a great event for families-bring a friend!

This is the 3rd Sunday of the month, so it is the week that we are collecting the items for the WARM Center. They can be left on the table in the kitchen.
Our church collected over $200 in the Lenten mite boxes last month.  The money was sent to United Thank Offering and to Episcopal Relief and Development for their work in Ukraine. Thanks to everyone who donated!

We are continuing to collect food each week for RICAN, and on the 3rd Sunday of each month, we take food to the WARM Center for their guests. If you would like to help with either of these projects, send us a message.

COMING UP -THE GREAT THREE DAYS

The Great Three Days-also called the Easter Tridiuum, begins this Thursday. That is the day that Jesus ate his last supper with his friends. 
Good Friday is April 15 and there will be a 12 noon service at the church. 
On Easter Sunday, there will be a 9am service, followed by coffee hour and an Easter egg hunt for the children.

The WARM Center's Street Outreach program is looking for: sleeping bags, tents, tarps, flashlights, lanterns and backpacks.  If you have any thing to donate (new or gently used), you can drop them off at WARM or bring them to the church.
