COMING UP SUNDAY-JULY 3

This is the 4thSunday after Pentecost (Proper 9).  In honor of Independence Day weekend, our service this week will be outside on the church lawn (weather permitting).  Bring your own chair, if you can. The worship service is live streamed at 9 am and it can be viewed on Facebook or on YouTube. Find the links here.  It can also be watched at a later time in both places.  Coffee hour follows the service. Bring a friend!
Preschool Story Hour meets on Thursdays from 11:30-12:30 for children age 3-6. All are welcome to this fun gathering!
On Saturday, July 9, St. Thomas is partnering with the Chariho Youth Task Force for a "Kick off to Summer" event on the church lawn from 11-1. There will be food, games, and a puzzle and game swap.  All are welcome! See the post in the right column for more info. 
Looking ahead-later this month, St. Thomas' will be incorporating some new prayers into the Sunday liturgy. They will focus on topics that Christians in the 21st century are facing. Stay tuned for more details.

COMING UP SUNDAY-JUNE 26

A new program for preschoolers has started at St.Thomas! It meets on Thursdays from 11:30-12:30. All newcomers are welcome!  Message us for more information.

COMING UP SUNDAY-JUNE 19

This is the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 7) and it is the official start of the Green Season in the Church. This year at St. Thomas', we will be following Track 1 of the lectionary Scripture readings. Read more about this in the tab marked The Green Season.

There are two special events coming up in the next week. On June 18, there is a community hike at 10 am that begins at St. Thomas'. The hike will go to the grave of the Rev. Daniel Davis and his family (see post on right).  
Starting on Thursday, June 23, there will be weekly story hour for preschoolers from 11:30-12:30.  There will be a Bible story, craft, songs and snack.  And coffee for parents!  Send us a message for more information.

COMING UP SUNDAY-JUNE 5

This Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost! In the Book of Acts (2:1-21), it says that on the 50th day after Easter, the Holy Spirit descended on the followers of Jesus and appeared as tongues of fire. The audit committee will meet following the worship service. 
There will be a youth event for children and families at the church the afternoon of June 5. Send us a message if you would like more details.
On Saturday, June 18, we will meet at the church at 10am for a community hike to visit the grave of the Rev. Daniel Davis and his family.  This is a joint event with the Chariho Youth Task Force and the Richmond Historical Society.  Read about it in the column on the right.  All are welcome.
