Ascension Day is Thursday, May 14. We will have a service followed by our annual hotdog, potluck dinner. All are welcome. Send us a message if you are coming so we know how many hotdogs to get!
The Feast of Pentecost is next Sunday, May 24. This is one of the major holidays in our church year. It is the day that the Holy Spirit descended on the followers of Jesus in the form of tongues of fire. That is why we wear red on this day!
Looking ahead-on Sunday, June 7, our resident art historian will speak to us about the 16th century painting by Caravaggio titled, The Calling of Saint Matthew. The Gospel lesson for this day includes the moment that Jesus picked Matthew to be a disciple.
