With the beginning of October, the calendar at St. Thomas' picks up quite a bit. As October approaches, save the date of Oct. 22 for the annual Blessing of the Animals service at Sugarland Stables in Richmond. Bring your favorite pet (or stuffed animal!). Details to follow.

Are you cleaning out closets in preparation for the season change? If so, bring your unwanted items to the clothing shed located in the church parking lot. It is a great way to recycle clothes, shoes and linens and to support our church.  Also-there is a Caring Closet located in the parking lot of the church. If you need emergency food or household items, there are some free items available.  Take what you need and give what you can.  Learn more about it here.

This Sunday is the annual Blessing of the Backpacks! Students, teachers, bus drivers and school employees are invited to come and receive special blessings for the start of the new year. 

There will be a vestry meeting following the service this week.
