He will be in town for the Rhythm and Roots concert and has offered to play for us.
The Episcopal Church, and other Christian denominations around the world, observe a Season of Creation from Sept.1-Oct. 4 (this date is the feast of St. Francis-the lover of creation). During these weeks we will have a special prayer for our planet as part of the liturgy. Read more about it here. Our diocese also has information on its website here.The Rhode Island Council of Churches is asking churches across the state to ring their bells at 12 noon on Sept. 11 to mark the 25th anniversary of the tragic events of that day. Coffee Hour Video on Sept. 27-There are 3 new videos about Sacraments in the Episcopal Church. We will watch the first one on Sept. 27 titled, "Sacraments and Sacramental Rites." It is about 20 minutes long and we will have 10 minutes of discussion following the video. If you are new to the church, it is a great way to learn about some of our beliefs.
