COMING UP SUNDAY-NOV. 16

This is the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost-Proper 28. The service is at 9 am. Chris Yaw. It is part of our confirmation preparation program. There will be a vestry meeting following the service.

During the month of November we are collecting canned tuna to donate to RICAN (of course any food item is welcome!). If you know of someone in need of emergency food, visit the Caring Closet located in our church parking lot. It contains a few basic food items.  Take what you need and leave food if you can.

This month the teenagers in the confirmation class will prepare the meal for guests at the WARM Center.

This is the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost-Proper 27. The service is at 9 am. This Sunday is our annual Veterans Day celebration. There will be a special coffee hour reception to honor all veterans and active duty milatary personnel and all are invited.

This is the All Saints' Sunday! It is one of the 7 principal feasts in the Episcopal Church calendar.  Read about it here. The event will be live streamed and you can watch it here. The Eucharist begins at 8:30 and the business meeting begins at 9:30 am.

COMING UP SUNDAY-JUNE 22

During coffee hour this Sunday, there will be a Safe Church training session. The diocese asks vestry members and other church leaders to review the guidelines every 3 years. We will watch  a series of short videos. It will take 1 hour and 20 minutes. 

On Tuesday, June 24, at 10:30am  there will be a ceremony at St. Thomas' to install the Witness Stone in honor of the Rev. Daniel Davis. All are welcome. Read more about it here. This Sunday afternoon, we will show the film, Traces of the Trade from 2:30-4:30 at the church. This film documents the history of the slave trade in RI. All are welcome.

There will be a service on Ascension Day, May 29 at 6pm. The short service will be followed by a hotdog, potluck dinner. This is one of the principal feast days in our church calendar. It is the 40th day after Easter and it is the day that the Risen Lord ascended into heaven (see the Book of Acts 1:1-11).

He was a formerly enslaved man who came to live in Alton. APR. 13 IS PALM SUNDAY

St. Thomas' is partnering with the Richmond, RI Historical Society and the Witness Stones Project to highlight the life of the Rev. Daniel Davis. Elder Davis was a formerly enslaved man who escaped from Maryland and came to live in Richmond. He was an itinerant preacher who sometimes preached at our church.  As part of this project, there are 3 events that are scheduled this spring. Read about them here.

COMING UP SUNDAY-APRIL 6

This is the 5th Sunday in Lent.  The service is at 9 am, followed by coffee hour.  This week,
 Ms. Kateryna Diachenko of Ukraine will be our guest soloist.  All are welcome!  If you can't come in person, the worship service is live streamed and it can be viewed live on YouTube and Facebook. Find the links here.
