This Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost. In the Scriptural Book of Acts, this on the 50th day after Easter, the followers of Jesus were gathered in Jerusalem and the Holy Spirit was poured on them in the form of wind and fire. Many people wear something red to church on this day to celebrate the gift of the Spirit.
Last Sunday we welcomed Bishop Knisely to St. Thomas. There were 2 baptisms, 2 confirmations and 1 person was received into the Episcopal Church. The church was packed and there was a great party to celebrate. Some photos can be found on our Facebook (see lower right column of this page).
This Sunday there will be a Vestry meeting following the service.
