This Sunday, Oct. 4, there will be a coffee hour presentation titled, "How to be a worship leader." This will be led by a licensed lay worship leader from Church of the Holy Spirit in Charlestown. In our denomination, there is an ongoing clergy shortage. It is important to have trained people who can lead worship when no priest is available. Learn all about it!
The Episcopal Church, and other Christian denominations around the world, observe a Season of Creation from Sept.1-Oct. 4 (this date is the feast of St. Francis-the lover of creation). During these weeks we will have a special prayer for our planet as part of the liturgy. Read more about it here. Our diocese also has information on its website here.
Coffee Hour Videos coming up! There are new videos about Sacraments in the Episcopal Church. They will be shown during coffee hour on Oct. 25 (Baptism) and Nov. 22 (Holy Eucharist). In case you missed it, the first video describing the 5 sacramental rites will be shown on Oct. 25 after the Baptism video (It is 15 minutes long). If you are new to the church, it is a great way to learn about some of our beliefs
